Farana Khatun, a 17-year-old from Narha-1, Devipur, is currently studying at Pragati Udaan Learning Center (ULC). She comes from a family of five and belongs to a farming family. Farana dropped out of school in class 2. She joined Pragati Udaan Center with the regular coordination of Udaan facilitator Prativa Ji. Currently, she is studying in Level 1 at Pragati ULC.

After a few days, Farana started reading regularly and began to enjoy it, leading her to attend the center consistently. She has improved her studies and gained confidence. Initially, she felt very shy and did not talk to anyone, but now she gives speeches at Balika Sabha in front of many parents. She is very happy to be enrolled in the Pragati Udaan Learning Center under the Bezos Funded Project, implemented in partnership with CARE Nepal and Samagra Jan-Utthan Kendra, and has been studying regularly at the center. Her parents also thank the program for the positive changes they have seen in their daughter.
