Meet Anjana Kumari Kamait, a 12-year-old from Dhangadhimai Municipality in Siraha District, with dreams as big as the sky! Despite dropping out after grade three to care for her family and face societal challenges, Anjana's determination shines. With the heartfelt support of her family, she joined the UDAAN program, a transformative initiative by CARE Nepal aimed at empowering girls through education. After a four-year gap, she reentered the learning world at Laxmi UDAAN Learning Center, regaining lost skills and building new confidence. Through engaging classes, personalized mentorship, and hands-on activities, Anjana not only reignited her passion for learning but also began developing leadership skills. “I feel safe here. UDAAN gave me confidence, leadership skills, and hope for my future,” she shares. Anjana’s story proves that with the right support, every girl can dream and achieve. She now aims to rejoin formal school and chase her dream of becoming a pilot!
