Samagra Jan-Utthan Kendra (Samagra or All People's Development Center/APEC) was initiated by a group of intellectual youth in Lahan on May 21, 2002. Samagra aims to achieve justice for all through human rights and peaceful collaboration. In 2009, it established “Samagra FM 107 MHz” to broadcast programs that challenge harmful social norms and promote conflict-sensitive journalism.
Samagra focuses on inclusive education, health, empowering marginalized communities via the GEDSI approach, resilient livelihoods, and emergency response. These efforts align with its vision and mission of resilient societal development, extending to disaster management, health, nutrition, and construction.
The organization strives to build an inclusive, self-sufficient, and resilient community where everyone values human rights and has equal access to opportunities. Samagra works on human rights, education, health, gender-based violence, peacebuilding, social justice, and dialogue, partnering with the government, INGOs, and CBOs.
Samagra has led campaigns to protect human rights, raise public awareness, especially for women and marginalized groups, and develop leadership qualities. It is part of networks like the Human Rights Network, NEOC, and National Youth Network.
